Protect your self from mosquito bite

HOW TO PREVENT MOSQUITO BITE / PROTECT YOURSELF FROM MOSQUITO BITE/ WAY TO PREVENT MO
sQUITO BITE.

Indians love monsoon and why would not they? After all this is the season that give relief from the scorching

summer heat. There is everything lovely about monsoon but there is risk of getting infected with vector borne disease like malaria, dengue, chikungunya. So it extremely important for everybody to ensure that they take the necessary precaution to prevent these condition.

Here is list of ways and tips to prevent all vector-born diseases

1. Use mosquito net-

Use mosquito net while sleeping . this is the easiest, most effective and a natural way to avoid mosquito bite. Check and repair for any damage of net to restrict mosquito getting inside. Ensure to tuck the net properly.

2. Close doors and window before sunset -

Mosquitoes are usually more active during and post-sunset so ensure you close the doors and windows before sunset.

3. Keep Your Body Covered As Much As Possible -

Wear long-sleeved shirts and long pants such as kurtas, blouses or full-length pants, pyjamas, leggings, boots, socks, etc. Try to wear light coloured clothes. Cover strollers and baby carriers with mosquito netting.

4. Keep Your Environment and Surroundings Clean -

This is one of the most important ways to prevent all vector-borne diseases . this is restricts the growth of mosquitoes in the first place. Clean and mop your house everyday.

5. Remove stagnant water-

Stagnant water is the breeding ground for mosquitoes. Throw out any items that hold water like pots, tyre, tanks, bucket, toys, pools and coolers. if you store then cover all kinds of breeding places like water storage tanks and containers. Also clean them on a weekly basis and refill with fresh water. Fill the breeding grounds as and where possible.
For containers without lids, use wire mesh with holes smaller than an adult mosquito.
Tightly cover water storage containers (buckets, cisterns, rain barrels) so that mosquitoes cannot get inside to lay eggs.
Use larvicides to treat large containers of water that will not be used for drinking and cannot be covered or dumped out.

6. Use Mosquito Repellent-

Apply insect repellent lotions and creams to all the exposed area of your body.

7. Use Larvivorous Fish-

Use of larvivorous fish for mosquito control. Fishes like guppy or gambusia can be used in fountains, aquariums, ornamental tanks and other places to combat mosquitoes effectively.

8. Eat Foods that Can Cope with the Infections-

There are certain food items that are known to have properties to cope with infections before the immune system is damaged further. Make your immune system stronger and a barrier for these diseases with proper diet.

9. Determine the Level of Risk-

If you are planning to travel or go for a holiday; check the risk of getting affected with malaria, dengue and chikungunya at the destination beforehand. Things to consider include the time of the year of your travel, the duration of your stay, the location of your stay and the activities you wish to do. Take all the necessary measures to safeguard yourself.

10. Consult a Doctor-

Consult a doctor to get complete guidance about how and when to take the medicine prevent malaria, dengue etc.

बुखार को कम करने के लिए व्यक्ति के शरीर से कंबल व अन्य अतिरिक्त कपड़े हटा देने चाहिए ।

4. Electric fan ca be started to cool the body.

इलेक्ट्रिक फैन चला कर शरीर के तापक्रम को कम किया जा सकता है।

5. Give cool drinks like lemon water, orange juice, ors solution, buttermilk etc.

व्यक्ति को पीने के लिए ठंडे पेय पदार्थ दें जैसे कि नींबू पानी, ORS का पानी, छाछ इत्यादि।

6. Application of cold sponging at forehead , limbs , chest , back , abdomen and all body at least 45 minute. Cold sponging is the very effective method to reduce body temperature.

During fever, oxygen consumption in the body tissues increases approximately 13%  for each centigrade of rise in temperature or 7% for each Fahrenheit degree.

it means Blood oxygen level (Spo2) may fall during fever.

Formulla

            👇

Cold sponging + other methods + Tab paracetamol  =   100% Elevated Body temperature Reduction

So Don't be panic about fever.

WHAT IS BODY TEMPERATURE

                                 BODY TEMPERATURE

Normal  body temperature is 98.6 degree Fahrenheit or 37 degree Celsius.

                                     DEFINITION

Body temperature is  the degree of heat maintained by the body.

                                                              OR

It is the balance between the heat produced and the heat lost in the body.

The Heat regulating  center  in the brain is  Hypothalamus.

Heat is produced in the body continuously. Unless it is lost from the body.

The regulation of the body temperature is maintained by two mechanisms.

      1.    Thermogenesis      2.         Thermolysis

WAY OF PRODUCING HEAT IN THE BODY-
      1. Oxidation of food-

During the metabolism of  protein, carbohydrate and fat, heat is produced as a by

product. it means when we eat food, heat is produced.

1 gm of carbohydrate give      -    4 calorie of heat

1 gm of protein give                 -    4 calorie of heat

1 gm of fat give                          -    9 calorie of heat
2.         2.  Exercise

During exercise heat is produced faster than it is eliminated from the body. During

exercise, the blood supply to the skin is increased and the individual feels hot.

     3.    Strong Emotions -

Excitement, anxiety nervousness etc. stimulate the different organs in the body               including secretary glands, due to this increased activity, heat is produced in the             body.

     4.  Hormonal effects

Due to increased activity of glands like thyroid gland , adrenal gland and                            progesterone hormone  produces a rise in the body temperature.

     5. Change in the environmental and atmospheric condition-

High room temperature and very High external temperature may upset the heat             regulating mechanism and the body temperature will be increased to high levels.             E.g.  Sun stroke, heat stroke.
    6. Disease conditions-

WAY OF LOSING HEAT FROM THE BODY-

     1.    Through the skin

     2.    Through the lungs

     3.    Through the kidney

     4.    Through the bowel
